The cream of the ballrooms iHelsinki is Hotel Arthur’s stylish and unique Ballroom (est. 1907). The Ballroom is a convertible room that has been the location for the organisation of Miss Finland competitions, various family celebrations, post doctoral thesis celebrations and large corporate events. Value is given to official functions by marvellous chandeliers, beautiful stained glass windows, a grand piano and Oskari Paatela’s painted fresco. Functions that are more free in form receive additional colour and atmosphere with small decorations, whilst a parquet guarantees moves on the dancefloor. A spacious stage can also seat an orchestra, in addition to other performers. The ballroom can accommodate 60–300 guests, depending on table arrangements and the programme.
