How hotel prevents the spread of the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2)?

  • All our staff has been well-trained in proper hand sanitation techniques and other simple strategies that greatly combat the spread of any pathogens.
  • We have hand sanitizer available in all the common areas of the hotel, including the lobby, front desk, and restaurant. Hand sanitizer is of course at our staff’s disposal as well. We recommend that you use the hand sanitizer regularly, just as you will see our staff doing the same.
  • Our housekeeping team has reviewed and updated their daily practices to include cleaning contact surfaces, like door handles, lift buttons and the front desk, with cleaning agent that has disinfecting and microbiocidal qualities.
  • The hotel front desk and the bar counter in our restaurant have see-through plexiglass shields for the safety of our guests and employees.
  • There are infograms in the lifts, lobby and restaurant to remind our guests of the basic safety measures. In our restaurant, floor markers are in place reminding about keeping a safe distance.
  • Our staff has been advised on the measures to be taken in case a contagion is suspected. We also recommend our guests and staff to stay at home should they have even the mildest of flu symptoms. Please postpone your visit to our hotel if you have any symptoms of flu, however mild.
  • We are limiting the number of guests in our conference rooms according to the government regulation for restaurants and cafes.
  • Hand sanitizer and disposable gloves are available in the restaurant for breakfast and lunch buffet.
  • The hotel saunas are not available for the time being.
  • By putting these preventative measures in place, we hope you understand that we are taking the situation seriously. We are following the guidelines and directions given by the local and national health authorities.
  • Kindly note that we do not accept any cash for the moment; please be prepared to settle your bill with a credit card.
  • Please remember to practice safety measures and in case you feel unwell please stay at home.

What time is the check-in and check-out?

Check-in starts at 14.00 for those guests who have made their reservation directly from the hotel via the hotel website, by e-mail or by telephone. For other booking channels and groups the check-in starts at 15.00. Check-out is latest by 12.00 noon on the day of the departure. If you wish ensure access to your room first thing in the morning, please make the reservation for the previous night.

Is there a luggage room at the hotel?

There is a lockable and free-of-charge luggage room at reception where you can store your luggage at your own risk. The room is not guarded. You may leave your luggage to the luggage room also before check-in.

Is there an internet connection in the rooms?

All the rooms have a WiFi – free of charge for our guests.

Can I bring pets to the hotel?

There are limited number of pet-friendly rooms at Hotel Arthur. Pet-friendly rooms include an additional fee of 10.00 € per night for extra cleaning costs. Please remember to inform us of your pet in advance when making a reservation, which can only be made directly from the hotel. Pets may not be left alone in hotel rooms. The guest is responsible for any additional costs incurred by damage or additional cleaning caused by the pet.

Is smoking allowed?

Hotel Arthur is a 100 % smoke-free hotel and as such, smoking indoors is absolutely forbidden. We will charge 250€ for cleaning expenses if smoking takes place in our rooms. We will also charge extra costs that smoking has caused for example the fire alarm. E-cigarettes are also forbidden. It is forbidden to light candles and open fires.

Are visitors allowed in the hotel room?

The visiting hours end at 21.00, after which only checked-in guests are allowed to stay in the hotel room. We want to offer the chance to as peaceful and quiet a stay as possible to all our guests.

Can I cancel or change my reservation?

  • When booked from our website after 23.10.2020, the reservation can be cancelled without charge by 18.00 local time on arrival date by contacting us by telephone or by e-mail

  • When booked from our website before 23.10.2020, the reservation can be cancelled without charge by 18.00 local time on the day before arrival by contacting us by telephone or by e-mail

  • For reservations made from online travel agencies or booking sites the rules and regulations of each site will apply and the modifications or cancellations should be handled through them.

Group reservations

Which payment methods are accepted?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club, and American Express. For the moment we do not accept cash payments.

Do I need to have a credit card to stay at Hotel Arthur

A valid credit card is required upon check-in. All guests must also present a valid ID upon request.

Restaurant

At what time is breakfast served?

All the room rates include hotel breakfast. Breakfast buffet is served in our restaurant from Monday to Friday 6.30 – 10.00, on Saturdays 7.30 – 11.00, and on Sundays and public holidays 7.30 – 11.00. Warm breakfast items are available half an hour after starting time.

Accessibility

Are meeting rooms accessible with a wheelchair?

There is a stair climber for guests using wheelchairs (not suitable for electric wheelchairs) to facilitate access to the conference facilities. Please inform our sales department in advance of any conferences for which a stair climber is needed. Our conference facilities are not accessible, there is no elevator on the conference side of the hotel.

Is there a disabled-access toilet in the hotel?

There are disabled-access toilets on the restaurant and the 4th floor of the hotel (ask for a key at the reception). There are also two disabled-access rooms in the hotel.

Location

Where can I park my car?

Hotel Arthur does not have its own parking spaces, but we recommend P-Kluuvi parking hall, located next to the hotel for customer parking. More information about parking.

How do I reach Hotel Arthur from the airport?

To reach Helsinki city center from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, guests can either take a taxi or use public transportation (local commuter trains or buses) which operate between the airport and the railway station. Hotel Arthur is located just 10 minute walk away form the Central Railway Station. Read more about location.

Services

Can I rent a bike from the hotel?

The hotel doesn’t have it’s own rental bikes but we recommend HSL City bikes. The city bike season starts on 23 March 2020 and will last until 31 October 2020. The nearest bike stations are Varsapuistikko and Kaisaniemenpuisto.
